3 ½” x 5 5/8”. Postcard. Good, heavily worn and creased, with penciled signature on back. Anadvertising card of an African American family music ensemble that performed throughout California in the 1910s and 1920s, including a four month long gig at the Panama-California International Exposition in San Diego from 1915-1916. The penciled signature reads “Mrs. W. H. Rousseau” but we have no way of authenticating her signature. Rare: none on OCLC or listed as part of the Rousseau Family Papers held by the African American Museum and Library at Oakland; none in online auction records.
