[Jazz] Advertising Flyer and Map for Eddie Condon's Jazz Club.

[Jazz] Advertising Flyer and Map for Eddie Condon's Jazz Club.

New York City: [circa mid-1970s]. Item #1834

8 ½” x 11”. Xeroxed flyer on thin card stock, printed both sides. Very good plus: light edge wear and creased at the center (though we are pretty sure this was meant to be a folded, four page flyer). A visually pleasing flyer for this iconic jazz club, with 3 pages devoted to a cartoon map. Provenance: acquired directly from trombonist Vic Dickenson's estate, this a duplicate of Dickenson's archive that we'll be offering in the near future. Dickenson's affairs were managed by his niece, Victorita Thompson, who apparently ended up with several generations of her family's belongings. It all ended up in a storage unit in rural Ohio, purchased by a picker, who sold us the Dickenson material. This item is offered by Langdon Manor Books, LLC, antiquarian booksellers.
