The Livermore Ledger.

N. P. N. P., N.D. Hardcover. Very Good. Item #277

8vo 8" - 9" tall; Description: 14" x 8 3/4". Orange library buckram. Not paginated, approximately 300 pages photomechanically reproduced on rectos only. This book is a bit of an odd duck, with no publication data, no copies found as being owned by institutions and nothing similar available in online commerce. All of the information about it resides in the single typescript page that you see above. Its approximately 300 pages are photocopies of a ledger first owned and most used by Abraham Livermore, Jr. Beginning in 1808. The compiler of this book notes that entries stretch all the way to 1861 and that it "seems likely that almost any man living in Claremont or German in those periods is mentioned sooner or later." The copy of this manuscript could prove invaluable to anyone tracing their ancestry through Cheshire County, New Hampshire. Condition: Ex-library with the usual markings. Pages have an odor, but it's not mold. Text otherwise clean and unmarked in a tight binding.
