Preceded by an earlier London-only edition, the author of this anti-Mormon work lived in Utah during 1855 and died soon thereafter. His papers were published by his aunt, the author of Female Life Among the Mormons. The separately paginated section is a series of essays by church elders. This copy has 4 pages of publishers advertisements not mentioned by Flake-Draper. Flake-Draper 9552Condition: Very good: sound binding, pages unmarked with light scattered foxing. Boards a bit faded and moderately worn, with small losses at the corners and a tear to the cloth at the head of the spine. Top of textblock with a few instances of insect predation.
