Victory Club Album: Official Government Photographs
This listing is for a hardcover album with detached printed pages of photographs. Captions printed at the bottom of the pages identify types of planes, tanks, guns and boats. There are also “Official Photo No.”s on the right side and the left reads “Hi-Speed Victory Club War Album Series.
The album was issued by Hi-Speed Gasoline Stations of Toledo, Ohio. Hi-Speed Stations gave away Green Depression Glass during the 1930s, and when World War II began, they started the Victory Club for kids, giving them a Victory Club Badge and an album like the one seen here. The photos included a series of land, sea, and air wartime equipment used by the United States Armed Forces, which could be pasted or attached with corner mounts to the album pages.
Here there are a total of 55 photos numbered up to 42. Nos.2-5, 8-11, 17-18, 33-35, 38-39 and 41 all have doubles, and numbers 14, 20, 24 and 37 appear to be lacking. The album measures 7¼” x 9¾” and the printed pages measure 6¼” x 8½”. Very good. Item #9460
Price: $40.00
